The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing angels, demons, and sinister influences expanding in influence within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of characters who will branch out from the primary party to begin their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might look out of place, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

First, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, striking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and Wicander defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This leaves them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

Future Episodes

From episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Seekers and Planners tables.

Fans can look forward to discovering which players will be where in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
