Devoted supporters of the actress are demanding that a individual who leaped a barricade and seized the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being detained", though official papers indicated that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last winter.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user remarked.

Fans Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Numerous fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said a further response on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while some demanded social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Premiere Information

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Many of attendees had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-part interpretation of the popular theatrical production Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, earning a pair for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
