In a unexpected partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre tests and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
