National Guard Activated Ahead of Countrywide Anti-Authoritarian Rallies
Conservative governors in several US states have assigned National Guard troops on standby preparing for widespread gatherings resisting Donald Trump and his policies.

Organizers of the "Anti-Authoritarian" campaign declared that assemblies are scheduled at exceeding 2,500 locations throughout the United States.
According to protest leaders, the prior Anti-Monarchy gathering in June drew exceeding five million demonstrators denouncing Trump's political agenda.
State Responses
Governors in Texas and the Old Dominion have publicly mobilized their state's National Guard forces, though the level of armed forces visibility remains uncertain.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott referenced the "scheduled antifa-linked demonstration" as rationale for mobilizing local military personnel.
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin similarly ordered deployment of the regional National Guard units.
Political Responses
Demonstration organizers described the assemblies as challenge to Trump's "strong-arm tactics."
"Trump thinks his power is total," organizers claim on their digital presence.
"But in the United States, we oppose monarchs and we refuse to yield against turmoil, graft, and brutality."
Several GOP members have labeled the demonstrations as "Unpatriotic" gatherings.
Kansas Senator Roger Marshall allegedly commented prior to the rallies: "We must call out the National Guard."
"Hopefully it'll be non-violent. I have reservations," he added.
Democratic Response
Opposition representatives denounced the mobilization of National Guard forces.
Texas Democrat Gene Wu asserted: "Dispatching armed military personnel to quell calm rallies is exactly what dictators and tyrants do — and Greg Abbott just demonstrated he's among them."
